Animal Communication Demonstrations

In addition to one-on-one sessions I offer public talks. While I present on a variety of topics, when I am sharing information about animal communication, I like to include a demonstration so attendees have a better idea of what a session is like.

While I am most known for my work with animals, I started with people and still provide services for humans with and without animal friends. If you have a topic of interest to you and your group and would like to add that unique and fun something extra, contact me for more information.

I have worked with non-profit organizations, veterinarians, small and large businesses and other groups. Visit my Public Speaking page for more information.

Below is my first TV interview from about ten years ago. The staff were so supportive on San Diego Living. The show sadly has since ended, but I have great memories of my time there. Thank you, Gary and Tiffany!

The Most Important Ingredient in a Cat’s Diet

Sindi visiting with the friendly residents at Friends of Cats shelter in El Cajon, CA.

Sindi visiting with the friendly residents at Friends of Cats shelter in El Cajon, CA.

The most important ingredient in your cat’s diet isn’t actually food. It’s love. Okay. While this actually is true, at least in my belief system, let me change my demeanor to one of a more serious nature and start again.

The most important ingredient in your cat’s diet isn’t actually food. It’s water. This actually is true and not true. Are you confused yet? Cats are 100% carnivores, which means that their digestive systems naturally process meat and only meat. So in reality, the most important ingredient in your cat’s diet is meat. However, the reason I filled in the blank with water is because our commercial pet food industry is producing dehydrating pellets by the tons and calling it food. Regardless of whether there is meat in the pellets or not, the fact that it is a dry food meant for cats is in and of itself potentially harmful. Why? Because, as I mentioned it is dehydrating. When a body, whether animal or human gets dehydrated it starts pulling water from wherever it can get it. Unfortunately, this means that moisture will start being depleted from the organs of that body. This, of course is detrimental. This survival technique of the body can lead to uncomfortable itchy, dry, flaky skin, as well as more serious conditions such as bladder and kidney issues.

water in glass splash

By getting to know your cat and his or her preferences, you can find ways to add additional hydration to their daily routine, including encouraging water consumption. Some cats will drink from a bowl, but you might also consider trying a glass or mug or turning on the bathroom faucet to see if they like the running water. The pet supply industry also makes water fountains and other devices that allow the water to be moving, which can motivate some cats to drink more frequently. I still recommend an all wet food diet, which would eliminate the need to drink as much, if any additional water at all.

Another survival response of the body is that it gets thirsty when it is dehydrated. This is so important because it will motivate the individual to drink liquid. This will hopefully replenish the loss of moisture in the body and if addressed soon enough will lessen the chances of permanent physical damage.

So, if you feed the dry pellets a.k.a. kibble to your cat it will hopefully drink from its water bowl to counteract the dehydration factor of the dry food. The reality though, is that if your cat is drinking from the water bowl, even if he or she is drinking a lot, most likely an adequate amount is not being drank. Why? Because cats instinctively get their water from their food. It is not a natural behavior to seek out water, even though they might at times do so. Both in a domesticated environment and in the wild. Obviously this is a problem when the majority of commercially manufactured pet food is in the form of dry, dehydrating, highly processed kibble.

Okay. Are you still with me? If it is not a natural instinct for them to drink water, how can they possibly get enough of that all important ingredient in their diet? By making sure there is plenty in their bowl. While clean, fresh water changed daily in their water bowl is essential, what I am talking about here is their food bowl!

cat drinking water from glass on kitchen counter

Nothing like a drink of water from their person’s glass to help a feline friend feel bonded! P.S. Kitchen counters are made for paws. Well in some households anyway.

Should you just dump water on their food? Well you can, but I have a better idea. Feed food that is already loaded with water, which would be referred to as wet food; fresh raw, frozen, thawed raw, cooked or canned. Cat food also comes in the form of dehydrated or freeze dried, which you need to add water to before serving. This is an alternative option for some cats. My cat, Misty is on a 100% wet food diet. But I still often add a little water to her food to add additional hydration. She also does drink from her water bowl on occasion, especially when the weather is warmer. Even though she is an indoor cat and our home stays nice and cool, the outside temperature seems to make a difference in whether or not she visits her water bowl.

Wondering how to help your cat or other pets have the highest quality of life possible? In addition to animal communication, energy healing and reading sessions, I offer personalized nutrition consultations for dogs and cats, as well as other animals. Just like with us humans, simply changing a diet can help lessen and heal a wide array of health conditions including, allergies, itchy skin, hot spots, hair loss, body sores, digestive upset, hairballs, watery eyes, arthritis, bladder infections, kidney issues, diabetes and even cancer.

Sage Center of Wholeness and Health

the filling station logo etcWow! My last blog post was in June! I can’t believe that it has been over three and a half months since I last shared with you. With my new life choice of working full time as a pet supply store manager in Tigard, Oregon, I have not had the same amount of time to write or offer my spiritual services.

I love helping people and their animal friends with nutrition, natural health remedies and positive reinforcement training at The Filling Station Pet Supplies store. I am grateful to have this opportunity in a public, retail setting. However, it is not what I see as the foundation of what I do.

We, animals and humans are spirit. We are souls; spiritual beings. We have bodies, which are our homes on earth. Our bodies are our vessels. Our temples in which to manifest through as spirit. During a session, my first step is seeing the truth. Looking at the energy of relationships and situations. The energy is the truth underneath the words, emotions, egos, facades and behavior. Following a session, I go in whatever direction is needed. Often a psychic reading and energy healing provide enough insight and information for clients to move forward. If additional support is needed, we may look more closely at diet, ways to reduce stress or give positive reinforcement training tips. I also offer meditation instruction, counseling and pet loss support with guided meditation and animal communication. Yes! You can more consciously communicate with your companion animals too!

SageCenterLogo1-e1432847940520Now that I have relocated to Oregon, I felt it was time to find a place to offer meditation classes, group guided meditations, animal communication presentations, pet loss support groups and one-on-one sessions. The place I found is the Sage Center for Wholeness and Health in lovely downtown, Beaverton, Oregon. There I will be able to offer readings, classes, presentations and support groups. I am going to plan an open house before the end of the year for people to visit and meet me. I will post specifics, including the date once it is chosen and secured.

zen garden with massage stones and waterlilyIn addition to my in person work, I will continue to offer my long distance services remotely. Animal communication sessions, energy healings, readings, nutrition consultations, positive reinforcement training, pet loss support and recorded, guided meditations through my Wild and Tame Meditation Club are all available for anyone and everyone anywhere throughout the year. While I am planning on eventually getting a 503 area code, Portland, Oregon phone number, I am going to still keep my San Diego, California number of 619-797-0705. You can also reach me via email at sindi@apetpsychic.com.

If you would like more information or to receive my free email newsletter, I just need your name and email address. Thank you for reading! Have a Wild and Tame day!

Whole Foods Market

Enjoying a rainy day in "sunny" Arizona with my skilled napping buddy. ;-)

Enjoying a rainy day in “sunny” Arizona with my skilled napping buddy. 😉

Today is a rainy, and therefore a relaxing Monday following a day off for me and Rock on Sunday. Downtime is important. We need to allow the body time to rest and rejuvenate.

Meditation is a wonderful way to take time for yourself. Sleep is also important. Meditation assists with our healing process, as does sleep. I enjoy both.

I also enjoy warm beverages on cold days. So today I will be going to Starbucks to cash in on my free birthday drink. Starbucks has coconut milk available now. I tried it in a hot chocolate and it was so delicious! I’m thinking in that direction again today, although a coconut milk Mocha sounds pretty  amazing too. Hmmmm…

Starbucks now offers a delicious coconut milk option!

Starbucks now offers a delicious coconut milk option! I love it!

Another new thing I’m excited about is that I will be doing my first ever event at Whole Foods Market! If you aren’t familiar with Whole Foods, it is a natural, health focused grocery store chain. They have abundant organic items, including beautiful produce. I love their tasty, fresh deli items too! It is easy to walk out of there with a more than initially intended because everything looks so good!

My Holistic Pet Care and Animal Communication presentation and demonstration will be on Wednesday, March 11 at 6:00 PM. It’s FREE and open to the public. With the exception of certified service animals, this event is for humans only.

Just as fresh food does our bodies good, the same is for our animal friends. Choosing a species appropriate diet in the freshest form possible will provide great benefits!

Getting Controversial in North Park

Here I am giving Tim an aura healing. Radar is helping!

Psychic reader and healer giving Tim an aura healing i Old Town San Diego. Radar is helping!

This Friday, May 2 at 7:00 PM, I will be giving an Animal Communication presentation and demonstration. It will last until about 8:45 PM and is $18 per person. This particular event is for people only, so please leave your animal friends at home. Those under 18 are welcome if accompanied by a parent or adult guardian.

I have given a variety of talks over the years, including Holistic Cat Care and Holistic Dog Care. I have taught meditation classes and workshops and led guided meditation for people and people with their dogs. It seems that the most popular topic I have yet to present is Animal Communication.

My goal is to help people to discover and validate their ability to consciously communicate with their companion animals. Even physicists agree that everything is energy. We store our emotions, thoughts, experiences and dreams all as energy. Not just us humans, but all animals too. As an energy healer, I feel energy. As a clairvoyant and psychic reader I see energy. As an animal communicator I engage in telepathic communication, as well as use my psychic reading abilities to receive and relay clear messages from animals to their people. I do the same for people without animals. I use the same approach because not only is everything energy, but we are spirit. All of us with bodies are spirits; animals and humans.

As a psychic, I have also been referred to, as a Medium. This term is commonly used to describe someone that talks to the dead or can otherwise tune into, sense and/or communicate with those that have passed on. I personally am hesitant to call myself a medium because I do not “channel” other spirit, other than myself. Some mediums channel the souls that have passed or other beings. I channel myself and it is me who interacts directly with the souls that have passed, whether spirits that have been associated with human or animal bodies. I communicate for them vs. them communicating through my body. I find that having separate spaces to be more beneficial.

I am spirit. You are spirit. Your animal and human friends and family are also spirit. We manifest through our own bodies. Souls can choose to allow other spirits to manifest, invade or be channeled through their bodies. I, however, feel best, healthiest and happiest, when it is me, myself as spirit, flowing through my body. When I experience someone else’s energy, whether they themselves have a body or are spirit without a body, I don’t feel well. Others’ energy in my body and space can make me feel tired, overwhelmed, depressed, insecure, confused, agitated, irritated, fearful, shut down and otherwise uncomfortable.

When I was 18 years old, I was blessed to learn meditative visualization techniques to assist me to consciously channel myself, flow and manifest through my own body. I learned them from CDM, a spiritual teaching center in Everett, Washington, just north of Seattle. By grounding, centering and releasing energy, I can protect and own my space, as well as let go of energies I may pick up that I don’t want to interfere with my well being.

Holistic Pet Care

Although the word “holistic,” is often used in place of “natural” or “organic,” it actually means whole. When partnered with the word “care,” as in “holistic care,” it means care of the whole person or whole animal.

When talking about the “whole” person or companion animal, some use the grouping of, body, mind and spirit. Since the mind, or brain, is a part of the body, I simplify it a little. I address, communicate with and help treat body and spirit or the body and the soul.

Energy healing, doggie massage and T-Touch techniques.I have seen seemingly miraculous changes occur through the use of animal communication, energy healing and reading. I can say the same for implementing new dietary approaches, food sources and supplement usage.

I am so excited to be presenting Holistic Cat Care 101 and Holistic Dog Care 101 in October of this year in San Diego. In both classes, I will share what I have learned in my many years of assisting my own pets, as well as the companion animals of others. The first hour will be jam packed with helpful information that you can start using immediately to improve the quality of your pets’ lives. Nutrition, supplements, relaxation techniques and more will be presented in the first hour. Following a half hour break, I will have a short Q & A followed by a live, public animal communication demonstration. Several participants will have the opportunity to ask me questions about their pets.

If you want your companion animal to be as happy and healthy as possible and/or you want to see a pet psychic in action, these are the classes for you!

Holistic Cat Care 101 will be all about cats and Holistic Dog Care 101 will focus on dogs. Attend one or both! A discount applies to those choosing to attend both workshops.

Both classes will be held in the Loomis Auditorium at the San Diego Humane Society’s Central Campus at 5500 Gaines St., in San Diego. Email me at Sindi@APetPsychic.com for additional information and to register for either or both classes. Thanks and I hope to see you soon! -Sindi

11.7.2012 – My Dog Won’t Eat

Swimming is a low impact form of exercise for dogs, as well as humans. It is sometimes used in physical therapy for dogs. Cute pups!

Today was a busy day. It was productive and fulfilling and included sessions with two new clients. Well in actuality, over a dozen new clients if you include all animals and humans involved!

Starting off the day, I did a long distance reading for an exuberant woman who was concerned about her dog’s loss of appetite. Her dog had gone through a number of periods of simply refusing to eat. Although he would sometimes eat later in the day and had gotten a clean bill of health from the veterinarian and doggie chiropractor, his people, were understandably still concerned. Stress, anxiety and fear and its effects on his body, as well as his chakras and energy system were the main issues. The dog’s mom is actively involved in his care. This includes, as previously mentioned chiropractic visits, which were introduced to help eliminate neck tension and seizures the dog had previously experienced. It is so great how many alternative healing methods are available now for our companion animals, as well as us humans!

PLEASE NOTE: If your companion animal has refused food, the first step is to rule out a medical cause. Not eating can be the sign of severe illness or that your pet has ingested something toxic or poisonous. Another possibility is a blockage or foreign body of some kind in their digestive system. A veterinarian can do a physical examination, blood tests and other medical interventions to determine if your companion animal is ill or needs further medical attention. Testing and exams, along with evaluating your pet’s previous medical history and any other current symptoms can help your vet draw conclusions. Not eating food or other changes in dietary or drinking habits is cause for alarm and it is recommended that you seek medical attention. Other symptoms that may or may not accompany the disinterest in food, include lethargy, depression, vomiting, diarrhea, foaming at the mouth, nervous panting or other signs of stress. If your veterinarian draws no conclusion from the test results, you may also wish to get a second opinion.

When your companion animal refuses to eat, it is time to see the veterinarian. Eat up, Fido!

Once a medical condition or illness is ruled out, you may wish to consider the following.

  • psychic reading
  • energy healing
  • animal communication
  • nutrition consulting
  • dietary evaluations
  • educational pet food shopping field trips
  • tips on how to read ingredients labels
  • animal massage and T-Touch
  • acupuncture for dogs and other animals
  • meditation for YOU because the calmer you are, the calmer your pets will be

11.4.2012 – San Diego Healing

Today was a good day. I spent time with friends and met one new one. A sweet, intelligent puppy named, Radar. Since a picture is worth a thousand words, I thought photos would be a great way to share what I did today. As well as show some of the services I offer year round.

With the help of Radar, his mom, Wyn and my other friend, Tim it was a productive day of healing, reading and animal communication. In addition to these three services, I also teach life changing meditation techniques. Meditation can assist you in all aspects of your life, including your relationships with your companion animals.
