Aura Readings

Update on Services

AURA READINGS

Are you on my email mailing list? If you are, you previously learned that I am no longer doing solely animal communication and pet psychic readings. In that same newsletter I also mentioned that if I do offer them again, it will be in a different way. After several months of meditation and contemplation, I will be refocusing and working in areas where I have the most experience.

I started my energy work, healing and reading with people many years ago. It was later that I formally included animals in my practice. I have been working with animals since 2007. This year, I will be going back to my roots! In my service to people, I will help animals because the happier the person, the happier their animal friends will be. By you getting more in touch with yourself you can be more present in your life, including with your pets. Instead of just answering questions, a session with me will start with an aura reading. Your aura is the energy field around you and your body.
During an aura reading, I look at the seven main layers of your aura. Following an aura reading you can ask questions about yourself and and your life, which can include your animal friends.
Below is a drawing I made to accompany an aura reading I received a couple of weeks ago. Yes, I get them too! I received my reading at CDM Spiritual Center in Everett, Washington. It was amazing and so helpful. It reminded me how beneficial receiving this information can be. We are often so close to situations in our lives, especially things we are emotional about. It can be helpful to have a neutral, outside observer to provide insight. Plus, aura readings are really fun! I do rose/spiritual awareness and past life readings also.

An aura reading is a personalized, non-judgmental overview of what is going on with you and your life situations. This includes how you relate to the physical and survival issues, your emotions, communication, clairvoyance and more!

My intent from the beginning of when I started offering readings was to help people to get more in touch with themselves and their own information. My goal was to help humans to validate, accept and use their own abilities to communicate with animals. I believe that returning to working more predominantly with people will allow me to do what I originally intended to do. Your animal friends will still be involved! In fact, they can get aura readings too! All living things have auras!

I also still offer nutrition consulting for dogs and cats and teach meditation techniques to humans. Speaking of which, I will be starting the Meditation Club again very soon!
Thank you all for your support over the years. I hope you choose to continue to play with me, as we enjoy our mutual sharing, learning and changing. – Sindi

An Unexpected Crossroads

Life is not perfect. It can get a bit messy. At times it can seem impossible to clean up. Patience can be a challenge when you want it all to be over now. Remembering that life is a learning process can help to allow more patience. But it can still be a challenge to slow down and go through the growing pains while cleaning up the mess! You can do it though and so can I. We can do it!!

If you’ve been following my writings over the years you know that my life path has taken many twists and turns. Some directions have been easier than others. I’ve been blessed to experience many exciting adventures, which have included road trips through different states and meeting new people and animals that have become a part of my life. I’ve had fun and there have also been times that were unpleasant. Such is life! Without all of the different ups and downs, failures and successes, I would not be where I am today. I have always said that life is a canvas. We get to decide what we paint and how we paint it. It can be helpful to remember that all of our experiences play a part in the steps we take. Or choose to not take.

It can seem challenging to refrain from taking a turn when a particular direction is everything you’ve been wishing for. Sometimes the challenge is taking time to know yourself and what you want. It is important to find what is most beneficial for you vs. what others want for you or what you THINK others want for you. Maybe all the “others” really want is for you to be happy. By taking time to let go of expectations, either ours or those of others, we can gain clarity about who we are, what we want and what our life path is.

Recently I made a choice that I did not foresee making. I was excited and content about my situation so making a change was not in my plans. However things occurred that made it obvious to me that I needed to switch my focus. What happened is that I ran smack dab into myself! The good, bad and the ugly. Some wasn’t so ugly, but it still needed to be acknowledged. I could no longer run away or ignore that I needed to clean up some messes that up until them I had been avoiding. Does this sound at all familiar? Has something like this ever happened to you?

Years ago when I was going through a tough time I asked God for help. I asked, “What should I do?” I heard, “Work with animals.” I love animals so much that I was excited about this information. I was a bit shocked because it wasn’t something I had been pursuing at all, but I liked the idea. I remember sharing it with someone who’s opinion mattered to me. This person invalidated the spiritual communication and projected onto me that working with animals was not what I should be doing with my time. I had a low sense of self and allowed this person’s invalidation and judgment to change how I felt about this new insight and information. I potentially allowed myself to stop me from taking steps towards this new focus and change the direction of my life. It wasn’t until over ten years later that my life took me into turns that supported this message of spiritual guidance. It was then that I formerly started on my path as an animal communicator and pet psychic.

Ginger helped me in my transition into working with animals way back when. I have since said a physical goodbye Ginger, but am happy knowing she still exists as the beautiful, bright light that she is. Ginger was spirit when here on Earth and is spirit now, as she continues her spiritual journey. I offer services for souls that are physically present and those that have left their bodies and have passed on. It’s all spiritual communication!

I am now based in Everett, Washington, just north of Seattle. While I have been slowing down on the amount of work I have been doing with animals and their people, my current crossroads is bringing me back to increasing this focus again. Here in Everett, Seattle and other areas of Washington State, as well as Oregon, I offer in-person sessions. I also offer long-distance readings for anyone, anywhere.

If I can help you and your animal friends, whether wild, tame or somewhere in-between, you can call or text me at 360-601-4358 or email me at sindi@apetpsychic.com. I hope to hear from you!

Pet Loss Support in Beaverton, Oregon

dog with chin on stuffed animalLoss, including in the form of death is, a part of life. It’s not a fun part of life. It is however, an opportunity for healing. The heavy emotions that accompany such loss can be overwhelming. Loss can be a painful experience. It can be shocking and difficult to move forward after experiencing loss.

The pet loss support groups I facilitate are a safe, supportive environment where participants can share as much or as little as they would like. It can be helpful and cathartic to talk about the feelings that coincide with loss. However, I understand that not everyone is comfortable verbalizing their feelings. While sharing is a part of our group, it is not mandatory to utter a single word. Participation is intended to be supportive and non-invasive to honor whatever people are going through at varying stages of their grieving processes. Some will want to talk and others will want to listen and quietly reflect.

Following the verbal sharing, I will lead a guided meditation to help release some of the pain energy and uncomfortable emotions. I will also share techniques to validate your ability to communicate with your animal friend that has passed on.

You are spirit. You have a body. Animals and humans are spirit in bodies. Different kinds of bodies, housing unique souls. Physical bodies are mortal. Spiritual beings are eternal. We can communicate with and otherwise sense the existence of souls after they have passed. My pet loss support groups with guided meditation and animal communication are opportunities to reflect and honor loved ones, while facilitating self-healing to assist in moving forward in the grieving and letting go process.

Happy Valentine’s Day

Yesterday was Happy Hiking. Today is Happy Valentine’s Day. We will have to see what type of happy we are tomorrow. 😉

Sindi outside hiking on a beautiful day in Prescott, AZ.

On a rejuvenating, meditative nature walk with my nature boy, Rock. See photo below.

Rock is a Retriever in a Chihuahua body. Well... At least his nose is. ;-)

On one of our recent hikes we came across abundant paw prints in the dirt. Do you think they are coyote tracks or from a domesticated dog? Check out the photo below.

Coyote or dog tracks? What do you think?

Coyote or dog tracks? What do you think?

One of the things I like about hiking and being out in nature is seeing wildlife. As you may know, I love animals! Whether birds, lizards or whatever creature might reveal itself to me. The other day I was overjoyed to see that a cute little ladybug had landed on my car. I realized that I hadn’t seen one in quite awhile. Aren’t ladybugs supposed to bring luck? I think more than one person has told me that seeing ladybugs represents that particular symbolism. I do know that seeing this spotted creature brought me joy. A sales manager I had years ago said that luck is when preparedness meets opportunity. To me, this means being in the present moment and able to respond to what may come your way. In the case of meeting this ladybug friend, I was definitely in the present moment. I had the opportunity to experience an interaction with this being, was prepared to do so and received the energetic result of joy.

There are so many different inhabitants of the animal kingdom. Today, my friend David posted photos on my Facebook timeline of a cute little critter called a Quokka. I never saw this animal before. I didn’t consciously know they existed until David shared the photos with me. I said it looked like  a Koala Chipmunk! Haha! It was absolutely adorable. It is a marsupial apparently, but not sure if it is actually related to the cute Koala Bear or not. I guess I need to Google it and find out! So cute!

The more I learn about animals, the more I want to learn and the more I realize how much more there is to know. I absolutely love getting to work with animals and their people. If you want to learn more about the animals in your life, contact me. We can learn more together. 619-797-0705

Enjoy your evening!

Happy Hiking

Rock sleeping in. :)

Rock was a bit of a sleepyhead yesterday morning. I love that he likes to sleep in. I do too, when I am able to. 🙂

Today I feel happy and energized. Yesterday was blissful and peaceful. Rock was a bit of a sleepyhead, so we took our time getting started yesterday morning. It was a relaxing way to begin our day.

After we both were awake, we each had some water and a little something to eat before heading to check out a recommended hiking trail. And wow! Was it ever beautiful! I felt so joyful, enthusiastic and in touch with the earth and nature!

We can get so busy. It is easy to forget how much taking time out for ourselves can be rejuvenating and actually give us more energy. The more we replenish ourselves and our own well of energy, the more we have to give to others. Giving to ourselves does not take away from others. It diminishes depletion and deprivation within ourselves and creates more abundance so that we have more to share; more to give. Don’t believe me? Try it! You may be pleasantly surprised! 🙂

Hiking trail in Prescott, Arizona surrounded by trees.

The trail that led to relaxation, rejuvenation and many internal, as well as external observations. It truly was a walking meditation with long term healing results, along with joyous memories.

During our replenishing nature hike, we drank in the beauty of the Prescott, Arizona landscape. Trees as far as the eye could see, mountains, birds singing and a cool breeze that would sometimes change to a temporary gust of energetic twirling wind. It would make a whistling sound that made it seem like the trees were speaking to us. At times it felt a bit eerie, but mostly it was a gentle, yet powerful healing experience.

Rock wanted to turn back before I did, so I carried him for awhile, so he could rest his legs and have an upper level view of the world. After a little while, I agreed that it was time to turn back. When I set him down, Rock took off running seeming to be in a great hurry to get out of there. Instead of remaining on the trail, he decide to scale a huge boulder with great zeal! He wanted to keep going up higher, but there wasn’t sufficient footing for my larger than Chihuahua paw sized feet, so I had to put an end to the ascent. Sorry Rock! And sorry to the rock Rock was climbing for putting an end to the fun it was providing and the obvious appreciation it was receiving from Chi-ROCK.

Unfortunately, during his adventure, my Rock got pricked by a small cactus that was growing in a crevice of mother nature’s rock. Luckily I found no cactus needles or prickly hairs embedded in Rock’s mouth where he had apparently tried to kiss the cactus. Following several lip licks and self provided mouth massage movements, Rock appeared fine, as if nothing had happened and we continued our descent down the large rock formation. I was attempting to take a photo of Rock on his rock, but taking care of his potential injury took presadence, so you will have to use your imagination for this particular visual. 🙂 Luckily, Rock was okay and there were no lasting effects or reoccuring signs that he had had his first face to face run in with a cactus.

As of today there still have been no signs of residual effects, so all is well, thank goodness! We didn’t hike in the mountains today, but took what has become a daily walk in one of the pretty local parks. We actually take several walks everyday, but the park walk was our longest one today.

1.8.2013 – Happy New Year!

A belated Happy Holidays and Happy New Year to you and yours! I hope you enjoyed the holiday season and that 2013 is off to a great start for you. I have been enjoying it so far and feel excited about starting fresh.

The first event of the new year for me will be the Blessing of the Animals Event at Old Town San Diego’s Historical Park. The event is Sunday, January 20 from 12:00 noon to 3:00 pm. I will be giving a presentation on animal communication at the event. I am not sure yet what time my talk will be. I will also have a booth and will be offering short energy readings and animal communication session for donations benefiting the Tijuana River Valley Animal Rescue. Stop by and say hello!

You can also pick up some complimentary treats for your dog at my booth at the event. Healthy treats will be provided at the Blessing of the Animals festival, courtesy of the Point Loma Pet Pantry. I actually work at this pet supply store part time. I used to work there several years ago, as well as Paw Country. Both holistically focused, independently owned pet supply stores are now owned by the same people. I am glad to be back and find working at these pet stores to be very fulfilling. Since I see so many more people while at work there, I have even more opportunity to help more people and their pets. This makes me very happy!

To learn more about me and my services, in addition to visiting the various pages on this site, you may also wish to visit www.WildTame.com, which has additional information. You can also contact me at sindi@apetpsychic.com or 619-797-0705. And again… a very Happy New Year to you! – Pet Psychic Sindi Somers

11.13.2012 – Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots

Sometimes, in order to avoid uncomfortable emotions we may want to avoid acknowledging the aging process. Whether it is the changes in our own body or illness, pain and challenges in our loved ones; both human and animal.

Death is inevitable for the body. Souls, however live on. I personally believe in reincarnation.

Over the weekend I saw one of the most amazing stage presentations I have ever experienced. The World Premier of Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots. My sense is that it is most certainly Broadway bound and it will win awards. Yoshimi is phenomenal! The show demonstrates collaborative creativity at its highest level featuring stellar acting, directing, costuming and staging. It is truly an artistic, visual, technical, musical masterpiece featuring songs by The Flaming Lips. One of the lyrics that moved me, was from the song, Do You Realize??

I am including a link below that includes The Flaming Lips song lyrics for Do You Realize?? in their entirety.

LINK TO THE FLAMING LIPS SONG LYRICS, “DO YOU REALIZE??”

Just as flowers are born, grow, bloom and later wither and die, so does the body.

Basically the song’s lyrics highlight the obvious. That which us humans, so often want to ignore and deny. The fact that all of us, every single person and animal, one day will die.

When discussing or writing about this topic, I find myself even wanting to avoid using the word die or death or dying. Instead I often choose less charged phrases, such as passing, passing on, passed on, lost or having to say goodbye to.

I believe it is important to focus in the present. To enjoy our life and live it to its fullest while fulfilling our individual, unique purpose to the best of our ability. I also believe that we are souls. Immortal spirits that even when our bodies cease, we, the soul lives on. However, as long as we are physically present here on earth we have bodies. Bodies that feel and experience different temperatures, pain, grief, sadness and anger, as well as pleasure, joy and happiness.

Bodies feel. They just do.

When an animal or human that we care about dies, we that are left here on the physical plane grieve. We are sad. We miss our friend. What I have learned is that we each grieve differently. Some show no physical signs of emotion, despair or change, while others can hardly function.

I know some people whose beloved pet has died and they have yet to ever get a new companion animal over 10 years later. I also know others who have gotten another pet just days after saying goodbye to the one they lost.

Everyone is different in how they respond to death and dying. Your concepts about spirit and body and life and death may be the same, similar or completely different than mine. Although I believe the soul lives on, in regards to our experience here on earth, one thing is for sure. It may make your body sad to think this thought, but it is true. Just as The Flaming Lips sing so bluntly, everyone you know someday will die.

I encourage you to spend time with those important to you. Cherish those you love and love those you cherish. If you have lost a loved one and would like to check in and have some soul to soul communication contact me at 619-797-0705 or sindi@apetpsychic.com. Or perhaps you are struggling with loss and you are having a difficult time letting go and moving forward. I offer energy healing, psychic reading and also teach meditative, self-healing visualization techniques to assist with this process. Although you can not physically turn back the hands of time, go backwards and actually change your past, you do have the power to heal yourself and change how you feel about your past. I provide meditation, healing, reading and communication services to anybody, anywhere on the planet. If you or a human or animal you love are facing a health challenge or other potential stressful situation, I can help with that too. I don’t replace medical doctors or veterinarians. Instead, I see myself as an alternative healing option working alongside the medical profession. Because I am not a member of the medical field, I can not diagnose diseases or illness. I suggest ruling out and/or discovering any medical conditions before pursuing an alternative energy healing, reading or similar modality.
