Earth Day 2026 – Our Power, Our Planet

This year’s Earth Day theme is, “Our Power, Our Planet,” and how I love that! Because it is so true! It is OUR planet and what happens to it, now, and in the future, as well as what has occurred in the past, is a reflection of how WE, us humans, have used OUR power.

What is power? While I encourage you to reflect on this and develop your own opinions, we often have associations with that word that aren’t neutral, and perhaps even untrue. We can have negative connotations associated with any word. If we focus solely on the non-beneficial ways that humans have used their power, this is one such word. Greed, abuse, intimidation, harm, destruction, devastation, and other ways of triggering fear in our bodies, are just some of the options of how we can use our power. Compassion, kindness, gentleness, inclusivity, joy, and love are other options. We get to choose how we use our individual power, and that choice will not only affect us, but all around us.

The word “power” can be quite loaded and carry judgement. Is power good or bad? Or both? Or neither? Depending on a particular human’s focus, “power” can be viewed in different ways. It may be appealing and attractive, even an obsession to some. While being avoided, or resisted, and repulsed, by others. It can, of course, also be anything in between, or different entirely. What does power mean to you?

When viewed from a neutral perspective, power is simply energy and information. We all have an abundance of both of those, so it’s what we choose to do with our energy and information, our power, that creates the different experiences. We get to decide everyday how we use our power. Do we acknowledge it, own it, and consciously use it in the ways we want? Do we ignore, deny, or hide it, keeping us from taking conscious ownership of it, and not controlling what we do with it?

What have you done today, that was a beneficial use of your power? Is there anything that happened today that you might approach differently in the future to create a more enjoyable use of your power?

All of our experiences on Earth are learning experiences. Whether they are without disturbance or not. The meditation techniques that I use and teach, especially grounding to and through the Earth and releasing energy down your grounding, can help you to be more in charge of what you are creating in your life. These easy to use meditative visualization tools can help you to be more consciously aware of yourself and your body, and your energy and information. Your power.

On Wednesday, April 22nd at 7:00pm PST I will be presenting a group, guided meditation on Zoom in honor of Earth Day. While meditating on this year’s theme, “Our Power, Our Planet,” I will be sharing the aforementioned grounding and releasing energy techniques, as well as centering and other practices, to help you take back and own your power, your energy and information, so you can make more conscious choices of how you are using it.

I hope you can join me! We will spend time relaxing our bodies, releasing unwanted energies, getting more into the present moment, and connecting with the Earth. Let’s meditate together and heal ourselves, while healing our planet at the same time! I think it will be a lot of fun too!
If you miss the above registration deadline and want to register after 3:00pm PST on April 21st, you can use this link forĀ $15 until registration ends at 3:00pm on April 22nd.
After registering, and before the event, you will receive the Zoom link, along with additional information to help you prepare for the meditation. Nothing complicated! It’s just to help you know more of what to expect so you can be ready to enjoy the moment.

Imagine that bright light is you. Look at your brightness, your radiance. Your power. On Your planet. This demonstrates what a difference one soul can make! Let your unique brightness shine, and help light up the world! Let’s use OUR Power to help heal OUR Planet! Happy Earth Day 2026! Earth Day is every day!
