Live YOUR Life

The last several months have been an important time of reflection for me. I have been reflecting on how I am spending my time and choices I have made. I believe it is essential for us to face ourselves and all of our creations, behaviors and the consequences of our actions and decisions. No matter how difficult, humbling or disturbing it may seem, and how much they may feel like mistakes.

It is impossible to live a life on Earth and not make mistakes! I have learned my greatest lessons and made the most significant changes because of the “mistakes” I have made. The meditation techniques of grounding and being in the center of your head can help us to be more tolerant and non-judgemental of ourselves and others. So these are excellent tools to practice to help us be gentler with ourselves and have a lighter perspective.

It is equally beneficial to acknowledge your successes no matter how “small” they may seem. The important addressing in both of these, whether seeming like a success or not, is validation. Validating what it is. If we acknowledge the truth, what is, versus what we want to pretend it is or wish it would be, we are then in a position to either accept it or change it. If we choose to remain in a state of denial or otherwise pretend a different “truth,” we can do neither of these. If we don’t validate what is, we are not living in reality. If we don’t see where we are, we can not take a step forward to where we want to go, or be!

The meditative visualization techniques that I use give me tools to be more grounded, centered and in the present moment. They allow me, the spirit, to be more fully present with my body. In this experience I am able to see my life and situations more clearly and respond more consciously. Grounding from the first chakra, near the base of the spine, is the foundation of all that I do. When I am not adequately grounded, I am more likely to make more of the challenging to forgive myself type of mistakes. I am also more easily influenced by others and affected by their energy, emotions and opinions. Their wants and desires can seem to become my own, even when they actually are not. Grounding helps me be more steadfast and certain of my beliefs and less impacted by someone else’s judgements and ideas of what I “should” think, believe or do.

When I am in touch with myself, and my unique energy and information I find myself more easily accepting and content with my choices and the results they have led to. I am happy with so much of how I have lived my life. While some experiences still may be challenging to embrace and be at peace with, I love my life! It took time and self-healing to get to more of a place of contentment, and to also be okay with not pleasing others with my choices. It has so often been my extreme desire to live up to others’, or my own, expectations. These really are judgements that can limit and restrict us. The belief that we must be “perfect” and/or live up to any expectation can cause our body stress and fear, and can lead to us stepping off track, and off of our personal path. Is pleasing someone else worth not being true to yourself, and following your unique path? Is trying to fit someone else’s ideal worth losing yourself, hiding yourself, and potentially being unhappy and unfulfilled?

Expectations aren’t always for us to be “better” in some way. We may even believe in an expectation that tells us we should hold ourselves back and be less than we are. Perhaps learning that we should hide our bright light, our beauty, wisdom, talents, or other unique gifts, instead of shining and showing our authentic selves. Why? Even if someone else is comfortable with us making that choice, who do we really help? Certainly not ourselves! Nor do we help others by setting an example to not use or share our gifts. By shining we show others that they can do it too. What a way to encourage others to be themselves!

Think of your favorite band. What you removed one person, either a singer or musician from that band. Each member adds not only their talent, creativity and showmanship, but they also add their unique energy, completely changing the dynamics of the group.

Everything is energy. That which we like, and that which we don’t like. Physicists have proven the concept, that everything is energy. The air we breathe, the water we drink, our thoughts, words, emotions, tension in our bodies, and all else. Absolutely everything! Grounding from the first chakra, the energy center near the base of your spine, is a highly effective tool for releasing energy that we no longer want. We can use our grounding to release energy and relax the body. We can let go of expectations, stress, tension, overwhelming emotions, discomfort, anxiety, lies and other people’s energies that may be affecting us.

By letting go of energy we don’t want, we make room for more of our energy that we do want, and what we desire in the present. Out with the old and in with the new! Energy is vibrations. These vibrations can be interpreted as colors, which can be further understood to have different meanings. A color of energy doesn’t always have the same meaning. What it “means” depends on the quality, clarity and density of the vibration. During an energy reading a.k.a. a reading of you, the soul, and your energy a.k.a. a psychic reading, I look at and interpret, or “read” your energy. This allows me to answer your questions and convey information with the intention of assisting you in your life. Even if it is an animal communication session, and reading of your animal friend, you will receive the information from the reading. Animal or pet readings, always include the humans in their lives because we impact each other so much. I currently offer remote readings via Zoom, as well as continuing to have an audio only option.

If you are interested in learning more about yourself, and your energy, you may want to consider taking one of my meditation classes. I learned to meditate at the CDM Spiritual Center in Everett, Washington. The techniques and information helped me so much, I decided I wanted to share this important, life-changing information with others. So, I completed CDM’s training program and became a certified meditation teacher.

I currently teach group classes and facilitate one-on-one meditation coaching sessions which include personalized guided meditations. The techniques alone help support you in your life. Sessions provide additional encouragement, a listening ear, and more detailed meditation instruction. I refer to myself as a coach, but in addition to being a teacher, I’m really more like a spiritual cheerleader!

Most of my events are open to the general public. However, I am also available for private presentations for groups, businesses, and non-profit organizations. With the exception of in-person presentations, and private speaking engagements, all meditation options are currently offered remotely via Zoom. Another service I provide is recording a personalized meditation for you. Or maybe for a friend or family member that could use some assistance. Gift certificates are available for all of my services and they can be emailed to you.

Ready to live a more grounded, centered, and joyous life focused more in the present moment? Or maybe you have questions, and want to learn more. Feel free to contact me by text or phone at 360-601-4358 or email me at sindi@apetpsychic.com. Thanks for reading! Enjoy your day, and your life!

Happy 2022 to You!

It’s hard to believe that we are here at the beginning of yet another year. I hope your 2022 is off to a good start and that you are well, your body is healthy and you have some optimistic excitement for the days ahead.

It has been two years since the emergence of COVID-19 and the global pandemic that followed. What a time this has been for us all! It seems just as we start to get more relaxed and comfortable, a new variant shows up interfering with us going further in that direction.

Despite that, one important thing that has occurred is that many people have had more time to reflect. This ultimately has given them the opportunity to get more in touch with themselves and what they truly want to create in their life. And that’s a good thing! People are quitting jobs in record numbers. Exploring new industries and types of employment. Going back to school, learning new skills, but most importantly, spending extra time honoring themselves and what is truly important to them.

I definitely have enjoyed more quiet, meditative time. Increasing the use of my learned meditation techniques, not only while actively meditating, but also throughout my day, has helped me experience deeper and more consistent calmness. Grounding, specifically, has become an even stronger presences. Helping me to relax and reassure my body during these challenging times. Grounding from the the first chakra, near the base of the spine is a way to also let go of energies we don’t want, such as anxiety, depression, fear and lonliness.

Meditation has helped me get clearer about what I want to create in my life. This includes continuing my meditation practice and doing more energy work and spiritual healing. For myself, but also sharing this with others.

In addition to focusing more fully on providing sessions to assist people with their animal friends, I also am reestablishing my first practice, which was offering sessions for humans. While readings with animals always include their humans because we impact each other so much, I also want everyone to know that I offer sessions for people with or without animals in their lives.

Aura readings, spiritual awareness readings, past life readings, as well as energy healing and asking specific questions about situations in your life, all are options during a reading. You are welcome to ask questions about your animal friends during your individual “people” reading. You may also wish to ask about work, relationships, your spiritual path, psychic experiences you have had, blocks to changing patterns or creating more of what you want. These are some examples, but you can ask questions on any topic you would like feedback and insight about.

I have always had the option of long distance readings and healings. With the onset of the pandemic and because of the variants and ongoing spikes in COVID cases, I am now offering remote sessions only. Which actually allows anyone, anywhere to receive a session, easily and conveniently. You never have to get out of your pajamas, put your shoes on or leave your home!

If you’d like to learn more or feel ready to schedule a session, feel free to call or text me at 360-601-4358 or click here to email me!

Animals are in the Present

Hailey and I at San Diego Humane Society oh so many years ago! Now it is a memory from the past, but at the time, I was definitely in the present with this feline beauty.

If you are wanting to have clearer communication with your animal friends, I encourage you to be in the present moment. Animals are great teachers for us humans because they are focused more fully in the present moment. We tend to divide our awareness, attention and energies between the past and future and hopefully at least some in the present, as well.

Why do we spend time in the past? Perhaps we are troubled by a past experience and it is keeping us from fully moving forward in our life. Maybe there is someone we are having a tough time forgiving or letting go of. Possibly we are struggling with forgiving ourselves for something that we have guilt, remorse or shame about from the past. Another possibility is that we are stuck on an experience or time period that we felt was more enjoyable than our present reality. There can be a number of things that can draw our attention to the past.

Most of us find ourselves at times thinking about the past, dwelling on memories, reliving or even regretting aspects of our past history. What happens when we spend time with our attention focused in the past? We are more likely to experience heavier emotions and feelings of apathy, depression, grief and unhappiness. The more we are in the present moment, the lighter and brighter we will find our energy and perspective to be.

We may also find ourselves focusing on the future. Perhaps there are things you want to create and you move your attention to the future, fantasizing about what life would be like with those additions. Or maybe you are worried about what may or may not happen in the future. You may then go into the future in an attempt to protect yourself or others and control the potential outcome of situations. While this may be a common practice for some of us humans, no matter how hard we try to master this plan, it doesn’t work! You don’t have to “go” to the present to be aware of it and make plans that will affect the future outcome. You can remain with your attention in the present, while being aware of the future.

When you have a lot of your attention and energy in the future, you are more likely to experience fear, nervousness, anxiety and even stress. Remember, your body can only be in one place, the present moment. So when you have your attention in the future, you are not at home, in the present with your body. It can grow afraid when you are not present with it to take care of it.

You are spirit. As spirit, a spiritual being, a soul, you can be wherever you put your attention. You can focus in the past, present or future. You can be in another city, state or even country, just by thinking about it. However, your body can only be in one place, right here and right now in the present moment. When you are out of the present moment visiting elsewhere you are not able to be as much in charge of what you are creating through your body. You don’t have as much control of what you are manifesting into the physical reality. You are more likely to be influenced by others and invaded by others’ energy, ideas, opinions, emotions and even pain. Your body can become a vessel for someone else, instead of for you. Have you ever said, “I don’t feel like myself today.” Well, you probably weren’t! The more present you are with your body, the more you can own it for yourself. The more of your energy you can bring into your body. The more present you are with your body, the less afraid your body will feel. You will be less likely to feel stress or depression. The more you, as spirit are in the present moment with your body, the calmer you will feel. The more in charge you will be. The more confident and empowered you will become.

Your animal friends, nature and other aspects of the physical world including the sensations, experiences and feelings of your body can help draw your attention, as spirit more to the present moment. Enjoy!

Your point of power is now. Right now, in the present. When you are in the past or future, you deplete your energies and lessen your ability to use your power, your energy and information in the present. The more in the present moment you are, the clearer your communication will be with yourself, your body, your God and your human and animal friends.

The form of meditation that I practice and teach helps you to be more in the present moment. The easy to use, powerful, meditative, visualization techniques help you, the spirit to work more in harmony with your body. They assist you to be more present and more consciously aware of what you are creating and manifesting through your physical body.

The Meditation Club that I facilitate allows me to share this meditation information with anyone, anywhere. As a participant in the Club you will receive a new, recorded, guided meditation each month to help you in your life. Learn and practice meditating on your schedule in the privacy of your own home, office, car or public bathroom stall. Really! Because you can meditate anytime, anywhere! Discover techniques to help reduce stress, anxiety, depression, pain and uncomfortable emotions, as well as consciously make the changes you want to make in your life. The Most Important Thing

Sindi meditating

Meditation has helped me feel better, create changes, have more confidence and be happier in my life.

There are many things that are important to me. Just as there have been many experiences that have played integral parts and turning points in my life. One was the discovery of meditation. Not just meditation, but a particular style of meditation that helps the soul – the spiritual being – work consciously with the physical body. I was blessed enough to learn this form of meditation when I was 18 years old. With that said, please know that it is never too late to learn to meditate! I believe we are presented with information when we need it and are ready for it.

At the time that I was introduced to this form of meditation, I was headed down a very dark road. I was drinking alcohol to the point of blacking out, I was often in a state of depression and although I had grand ambitions, I lacked self-esteem. I wanted to accomplish certain things in my life, but didn’t believe that I could. My fears, doubts and emotional pain formed a sad state of reality for me. I wondered if I would ever be happy.

There are many forms of meditation. Instead of staring at the light of a candle outside of  yourself, as I was taught as a child, the style of meditation I practice and teach uses techniques to help you get in touch with your light within.

When I began the Meditation I class at the CDM Spiritual Center, I really didn’t know what to expect. I had heard the term meditation, but my previous introduction, as a young child didn’t resonate with me. I was bored with the idea of staring at a candle and lost interest soon after trying to sit and focus. I didn’t “get it” at that point in my life. While I was drawn to spiritual practices including attending church from the time I was a young child, I didn’t find anything that “clicked” for me. I have always had a strong awareness of God and the spiritual realm. This helped me to know that there was more than what we physically could see. Unseen, spiritual presences have always been very real for me. They are real. We just don’t live in a world that usually validates them as such.

Everything is energy. You are energy. Your aura, the energy field around you is energy. Your body is energy. Everything is energy!

Although I didn’t have many expectations of what was then presented as an eight-week class, I was as curious as an apathetic teenager could be. Before talking with the meditation teacher and signing up for the class, I received an aura healing. This was an interesting experience. I learned that day that your aura is the energy field around you and that an aura healing is a non-touch healing. It was and is a cleansing of your aura, chakras and energy system. I watched the person giving the healing walk around me assisting me to move energy and let go of whatever energy I was ready to. I remember feeling some tingles, which was me experiencing energy being stimulated and moving.

The Meditation I class I took changed my life. I love sharing this information with others. Nothing is for everyone, but I can’t help but share with others what has helped me. Maybe this form of meditation will help you too!

The day of my first class arrived! I was in the class with another young woman, who was about six years older than me. We instantly liked each other and got along great! I thought the teacher was fun and validating too. I loved everything that I was learning. It was all so real to me! All of the techniques including grounding, centering, releasing and running energy made quite an impact on me. I began to feel better, lighter and brighter. My depression and apathy starting changing into enthusiasm and joy. I was becoming a happier person. The changes that were occurring within me were truly phenomenal and it started happening in a very short period of time! The changes I was making internally led to changes externally in my physical reality. As I mentioned, I started to feel better and became happier. I additionally quit drinking cold turkey. I changed how I spent my time and who I spent it with. I started becoming excited about life. Truly excited!

If I was to sum up what that meditation class gave me, it was hope. It showed me there was a different way to experience life. I now had tools to help me out of any situation. Techniques to support me throughout my life, whether dark or light, happy or sad or simply the day-to-day experiences that we all have.

I’ve spent this blog post sharing with you the important role that meditation has played in my life. The title of this blog post is, “The Most Important Thing.” You are probably thinking that the most important thing to me is meditation. While it is extremely important and an integral part of my life, if I am to choose the most important thing that I have ever learned, or in actuality, relearned, is that I am spirit. This concept was introduced to me at CDM Spiritual Center where I learned meditation. The idea that I am spirit was revisited, confirmed and experienced first-hand in every meditation class. Why is this the most important thing? Have you ever learned this? Do you understand what it means? It is such a unique concept in this world and it is so exciting! I am spirit. You are spirit. We are all spirit. Whether we are housed in human bodies, cat, dog, bird, rabbit, fish, lizard or giraffe bodies. We don’t have a spirit or soul. We ARE spirits. We ARE souls. There is a difference.

Nor do we become spirit when when our body dies. We already are and always will be, spirit. We are NOT our bodies. Our bodies are our vessels to manifest through as spirit, spiritual beings, the souls that we are. It is through meditation that I came to fully understand what it means to be spirit. I continue to strengthen my relationship with myself, as spirit, and my physical body, through meditation. As I get to know myself and my uniqueness through meditation, I am also able to use the meditative, visualization techniques to let go of that which I no longer want. This process makes more room for what I do want in the present. Physicists have proven that everything is energy. When we let go of energy we don’t want, we make more room for energy we do want. Whether I want to let go of pain, fear, doubt, energy from the past or uncomfortable emotions or change habits, patterns, beliefs or simply enjoy life more fully, these easy-to-use, powerful meditation techniques can help. Out with the old, in with the new!

I wanted to write this blog post because I love sharing with others what has helped me. Meditation and the awareness that comes with it has helped me and continues to help me every day. Many of you have heard me say this and I may have even recommended that you consider adding meditation to your life. But, as I mentioned above, if I were to choose one thing above all else as the most important thing that I have learned in this lifetime and that I want to share with others, it is that I am spirit. You are spirit. We are all spirit. Again, you are not your body. Your physical body is your vessel, your vehicle, your temple, the home for you, the spirit. The spirit that is you. The spiritual being that is you. The soul that is you. YOU are spirit!

Is My Animal Friend Happy?

Even cute little guinea pigs can experience stress, anxiety and a full range of emotions. Get to know your animal friends and get to know yourself. By changing how you feel, you impact all around you, including your pets.

One of the questions I often get asked during an animal communication and psychic reading session is whether or not a pet is happy. Dogs, cats, rabbits, birds, guinea pigs, horses and other animals in our lives are impacted by us and how we are feeling. Are we happy, stressed, sad, angry, excited, enthusiastic, worried or anxious? How do our animal friends mirror these emotions and experiences? In all different ways!

While emotional responses can be exhibited in behavioral issues or changes they can sometimes be less obvious. Has your dog started itching, biting or gnawing himself frequently? If you rule out some of the obvious culprits, such as fleas or allergies, what could it be? It could be an outlet for stress. Why is he stressed? It can be beneficial to evaluate your stress level. Is there something that happened recently or that is currently going on that you find stressful? Everything is energy and energy can be transferred from one to the other; whether human or animal.

Other known signs of stress in animals include birds plucking out their feathers, cats overgrooming themselves, animals not wanting to eat and hiding. These behaviors can also be sign of illness, so they shouldn’t be ignored.

If there is conflict going on in your household or changes that have created a stressful environment, your pets will be effected. However some may show outward signs more obviously than others. Just like all people are different, so are all animals. Some are more go with the flow, letting things roll of their backs. Others may have a lot going on under a facade of courage, stoicism and “I’m fine!”

This dog has a treat. His panting could be a sign of stress that he feels trying to guard his tasty treasure.

Some signs of stress may seem completely natural. That is because in some situations they are natural, but they can communicate much more. There are a number of behaviors that are termed “calming signals” in dogs that can be signs of stress. Lip licks, panting, yawning, ignoring a situation by sniffing the ground or looking away are just some examples. They can be an attempt to calm a situation or another dog, though they can be used when relating to people too. For example, if it isn’t hot out and your dog doesn’t have a reason to be panting, it could be a sign of stress.

It can be helpful to not only pay attention to signs of stress in our animal friends, but to also be aware of how you are feeling yourself. If you are stressed, upset or unhappy about something in your life perhaps it needs some attention. It may be a situation that can be changed through communication with someone or perhaps it simply needs to be approached with a new perspective. Sometimes the way to create beneficial change is to completely leave a situation. Each scenario is unique, so it can be helpful to reflect on it, as such.

In addition to animal communication, energy healing and reading I teach meditation techniques that can help to reduce stress, as well as be more aware of how you are feeling. The style of meditation that I practice and share with others provides tools to help release energy you no longer want to make more room for what you want in the present. This process helps you to heal and create change in any aspect of your life. This includes your relationships with your pets.

To learn more, feel free to contact me. I will be restarting my Meditation Club soon. Everyone in the club receives a new recorded, guided meditation each month. Meditation literally saved my life. More than once and it still helps me in my life. Meditation has provided me with tools in many situations, including loss of loved ones, making changes and depression. If you are looking for support, meditation is just a deep breath away!

Ancient Mystery School Meditation

There are many forms of meditation. Enjoying nature is one of them!

There are many forms of meditation. Enjoying nature is one of them!

When I was a frustrated, depressed and very angry teenager, it was meditation that saved me. At the ripe old age of 18 years old, it was meditation that helped me to move from a place of apathy, fatigue and depression to an energetic space of optimism and enthusiasm. I began to experience life differently. I was an extremely shy, fearful child, which led to continued shyness and fear, as an insecure teen.

When I enrolled in an eight week beginning meditation class, I was nonchalant about my decision. I had absolutely no idea that that class would change my life forever. In retrospect, it was that Meditation I class that gave me hope. It got me back in touch with myself as spirit. I actually saw myself, as spirit consciously for the first time that I could remember. I had an awareness of myself and other spirits when I was a child. Although I was still aware there was something more than what I physically saw, it was difficult to access under a heavy cloak of misery.

As a spiritual being with a physical body here on Earth, I had collected pain, doubt, shame and feelings of worthlessness. So that moment in my Meditation I class is a memory that changed me and my life forever. There were only two of us students that were in the class. If you put on events or teach classes, remember that no matter how few or how many attend, you can make a difference!

Meditation has helped me and continues to help me in all aspects of my life.

Meditation has helped me and continues to help me in all aspects of my life.

I am forever grateful to all of my many teachers at the CDM Spiritual Center in Everett, Washington that I had over the years that followed that initial class. The simple, powerful, meditative, visualization techniques that they teach, and I now share too, are the foundation of all that I do. They are tools that can help you to change your mood, increase your vitality and self esteem and improve your overall well being. You CAN change your life with meditation! I did and continue to heal and grow with the help of these techniques.

People often ask what type of meditation I practice. They want a name. One of my students deemed it Sindi Meditation. Haha! While it isn’t Sindi Meditation and may not have a formal name, I have given it different labels at times. Energy Meditation, Psychic Meditation, Self Healing Meditation, Spirit Body Meditation, Body Soul Meditation, CDM Meditation and I just thought of this one: Ancient Mystery School Meditation!

Why that name? These easy to use, powerful, life changing meditation techniques are ancient! Often information categorized within the group of metaphysical teachings are labeled New Age. The techniques that I share and practice are not New Age because they are not new! They have been on the planet for a very long time, including the ancient mystery schools where Jesus studied. Yes… that Jesus!

Speaking of Jesus the Christ, if you want clearer communication with him, as well as yourself, God and other spiritual teachers, including Buddha, meditation is the way! The form of meditation that I teach and practice helps spirit and body to work more in harmony. You can more consciously create your life and manifest yourself and your unique energy using this style of meditation. For me, meditation is not about escaping or not feeling. It is about more consciously experiencing and creating your life. Whether you consider yourself spiritual and not religious, or a Christian, Buddhist, Christian Scientist, Catholic, Mormon, Hindu, Muslim,Taoist or have chosen another spiritual focus, or none at all, you can benefit from meditation. Regardless of our beliefs, we are all spirit in physical bodies. We can learn how to reduce stress, improve sleep, change habits and have more fun, by taking time for ourselves. If you do not believe in God and the spiritual realm, are Agnostic or Atheist, you don’t have to miss out!! Even physicists agree that everything is energy! If you prefer a scientific, instead of a spiritual focus, simply validate your great ability to acknowledge, release and change your energy! Everyone can do this. So why not…. go forth and meditate!

Whether as an individual or with a group, meditation can be a fun, rejuvenating activity in your life!

Whether as an individual or with a group, meditation can be a fun, rejuvenating activity in your life!

Birth and Death

waves at sunset

Life is full of change, similar to the changes that occur each time a new set of waves flow on and off the sandy shore.

Today my friend’s father died at 5:45 AM. Today also happens to be my birthday. This is the day I was born, oh so many years ago. My friend and I will always remember the date, February 26, but for different reasons.

Birth and death are both transitional experiences. With birth, the soul transitions into the body and the earth plane. In death, the soul permanently leaves its particular body and transitions back into the spiritual realm.

While we can look at physical, scientific and medical reasons why a body lives or dies, it is actually the soul that determines this difference. It is the soul and its energetic presence that gives the body life. It is the departure of this same being that creates the experience of death.

Adjusting to a new life, whether our own or an addition to our own, as with the birth of a child, takes time. Processing the occurance of death also takes time. It is important to allow our body the time to process, reflect and grieve. There are a number of emotions one might experience related to a death; grief, sadness, depression, anger, guilt.

Bodies feel. They experience pain, sadness, grief, as well as lighter emotions, such as joy.

Bodies feel. They experience pain, sadness, grief, as well as lighter emotions, such as joy.

Our reaction to each death experience may have similarities, but also differences. Depending on our relationship with the soul that has passed, the intensity of our emotional response may differ. If you are a close relative, friend or caregiver, for example. These particular roles may evoke different feelings than those of a casual acquaintance, Facebook friend or stranger. If you are both a family member and the caregiver, there will be a unique intensity all its own.

Caring for a loved one at the end of their life can be emotional, exhausting and overwhelming. Watching someone die or approach death can be stressful and painful, especially if suffering is involved. Because of these intense feelings their may be a sense of relief after they pass. This may be followed by guilt, due to judgment.

If we can allow our body its complete range of emotions without judgment, we can more easily move through the grieving process. Or any experience, for that matter. When we judge, fight, resist or deny our emotions, we can get stuck. This can interfere with us reaching a place of acceptance. It can take us longer to reach a place of peace with a death.

Saying goodbye to Ginger was one of the hardest things I have ever had to do. Dealing with death can be a challenge for those left living.

Saying goodbye to beautiful, loving Ginger was one of the hardest things I have ever had to do. Dealing with death can be a challenge for those left living. But we can do it! Allow the time and space for your healing. Be gentle and kind to yourself.

Because of my personal experiences with death and the benefit others can be to us during a time of loss, I offer help in this area. I work with both animals and people providing one on one and group grief counseling, energy healing, psychic reading and telepathic communication with the soul that has passed. Individual and group pet loss support and assistance with end of life decisions may also include guided meditation and other services.

If you or someone you know are struggling with loss, grief, pain, depression, stress, fear or anxiety related to death or any aspect of life’s many experiences, I can help! Through energy healing, psychic reading, talking and meditating, you can regain a more neutral, non-judgmental perspective of yourself, your emotions and others.

My Road Trip is a Journey Within

I'm not very skilled and lack experience (obviously!) when it comes to "Selfies" photographs, but self confrontation leading to self healing is a huge part of my life.

I’m not very skilled and lack experience (obviously!) when it comes to “Selfies” photographs, but self confrontation leading to self healing is a huge part of my life.

My self described “working road trip” was initially just an option and somewhat of a romantic notion. I liked the idea of freedom on the road, as well as growing my business and helping others by venturing to different areas. I have met so many lovely animals and people and have had such tremendous self healing experiences that I could never regret my choice to do it.

It has given me extra time to meditate, focus on myself and spend time with my loyal canine companion, Rock. However, it hasn’t all been smooth sailing. There have been times I’ve questioned my decision and contemplated turning back. But despite hardships and challenges, I have chosen to keep my commitment to stay on the road until I come back to San Diego mid March.

Grandma Sally

Happy advance Birthday to my beautiful Grandma Sally. She would have been 95 years old next month. I miss her smile, her laugh, her friendship.

I will be arriving in San Diego March 16 or 17. March 17 would have been my Grandma Sally’s 95th birthday. She passed away in 2012 and I still miss being able to physically see her. Although I can still tune into her spiritually, she has moved on and of course, it is not the same as being able to physically see her, hug her, sit with her, laugh and talk. We talked about everything, including her death. We also talked about her boyfriends who I nicknamed, her “Two Tony’s”; Celebrity Chef, Anthony Bourdain and Tony Soprano. When the actor that played Tony Soprano, James Gandolfini, passed away less than a year after my Grandma’s death, I was shocked and saddened. I hoped that him and my Grandma would at least get to say a passing hello, as spirit.

So much of this journey has been about me realizing how sad my body is. Not just from the death of my Grandma and her ” boyfriend”. I have experienced sad losses throughout my entire life. In order to keep going and functioning, I have put some grieving on hold. This isn’t healthy, nor does it work. If we ignore and do not deal with any aspect of our growth, it can and does effect us. I have dealt with some of the pain, grief, sadness and other heavy emotions and energies associated with my losses, but I am aware of how much is still there.

As a child, I moved often. First from my mother’s womb, then from the hospital room to my first home. Just three weeks after being born I moved again to a different residence. Moving itself is a loss. We let go of one home to make room for the new. So there is, at least usually, some type of a replacement, but loss is involved nonetheless.

This pattern of moving from one place to another continued throughout my childhood and into my teen years. I did live in the same house all four years of high school. What happened when we moved is what brought me the most sadness. Saying goodbye to friends. Over and over and over again. My neighborhood and school playmates and very sadly, often my pets. To this day I have a special affinity for black Labs and Shepherds. The memory of the animal control truck coming to our new house to pick up my friends, Silver, our black Labrador Retriever mix, King, our German Shepherd, and Wolf, our Shepherd/Wolf mix, when I was six years old is burned into my memory with confusion. I still do not understand why we couldn’t keep our dogs or our beautiful cats that were picked up too. There weren’t many cats left in our care at that point because most of them were left behind with a neighbor when we moved from our old house. Just writing this hurts. So many animal friends I loved taken and deserted. So sad! I do remember a cute black kitten that I loved. I should mention I have a thing for black cats to this day too.

Here is one of my new black cat friends, Ace. I met him in Sedona, Arizona at Sedona Pet Supply. Love him!

You see why I have so much sadness within me?! I am determined, however to keep working on it. While I need to let my body grieve its losses, I prefer the feeling of happiness. So, I’m going to always aim for that!

As we so often do when there are unresolved issues, I continued the pattern of moving frequently into my adulthood. This created a lack of stability in my childhood. However, it is a familiar feeling to me. We often prefer familiarity, even if it hinders us or may not be the most beneficial option.

One of the other things that became apparent early on in my road trip was my desire to create more stability in my life. Although it makes me cringe a little, I want it for myself, my dog and any other animals that may decide to join us. So even though I may still travel for work or vacations, I want a physical place to call home.

11.13.2012 – Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots

Sometimes, in order to avoid uncomfortable emotions we may want to avoid acknowledging the aging process. Whether it is the changes in our own body or illness, pain and challenges in our loved ones; both human and animal.

Death is inevitable for the body. Souls, however live on. I personally believe in reincarnation.

Over the weekend I saw one of the most amazing stage presentations I have ever experienced. The World Premier of Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots. My sense is that it is most certainly Broadway bound and it will win awards. Yoshimi is phenomenal! The show demonstrates collaborative creativity at its highest level featuring stellar acting, directing, costuming and staging. It is truly an artistic, visual, technical, musical masterpiece featuring songs by The Flaming Lips. One of the lyrics that moved me, was from the song, Do You Realize??

I am including a link below that includes The Flaming Lips song lyrics for Do You Realize?? in their entirety.

Just as flowers are born, grow, bloom and later wither and die, so does the body.

Basically the song’s lyrics highlight the obvious. That which us humans, so often want to ignore and deny. The fact that all of us, every single person and animal, one day will die.

When discussing or writing about this topic, I find myself even wanting to avoid using the word die or death or dying. Instead I often choose less charged phrases, such as passing, passing on, passed on, lost or having to say goodbye to.

I believe it is important to focus in the present. To enjoy our life and live it to its fullest while fulfilling our individual, unique purpose to the best of our ability. I also believe that we are souls. Immortal spirits that even when our bodies cease, we, the soul lives on. However, as long as we are physically present here on earth we have bodies. Bodies that feel and experience different temperatures, pain, grief, sadness and anger, as well as pleasure, joy and happiness.

Bodies feel. They just do.

When an animal or human that we care about dies, we that are left here on the physical plane grieve. We are sad. We miss our friend. What I have learned is that we each grieve differently. Some show no physical signs of emotion, despair or change, while others can hardly function.

I know some people whose beloved pet has died and they have yet to ever get a new companion animal over 10 years later. I also know others who have gotten another pet just days after saying goodbye to the one they lost.

Everyone is different in how they respond to death and dying. Your concepts about spirit and body and life and death may be the same, similar or completely different than mine. Although I believe the soul lives on, in regards to our experience here on earth, one thing is for sure. It may make your body sad to think this thought, but it is true. Just as The Flaming Lips sing so bluntly, everyone you know someday will die.

I encourage you to spend time with those important to you. Cherish those you love and love those you cherish. If you have lost a loved one and would like to check in and have some soul to soul communication contact me at 619-797-0705 or sindi@apetpsychic.com. Or perhaps you are struggling with loss and you are having a difficult time letting go and moving forward. I offer energy healing, psychic reading and also teach meditative, self-healing visualization techniques to assist with this process. Although you can not physically turn back the hands of time, go backwards and actually change your past, you do have the power to heal yourself and change how you feel about your past. I provide meditation, healing, reading and communication services to anybody, anywhere on the planet. If you or a human or animal you love are facing a health challenge or other potential stressful situation, I can help with that too. I don’t replace medical doctors or veterinarians. Instead, I see myself as an alternative healing option working alongside the medical profession. Because I am not a member of the medical field, I can not diagnose diseases or illness. I suggest ruling out and/or discovering any medical conditions before pursuing an alternative energy healing, reading or similar modality.
